Girl Scout / Boy Scout Riding Programs

Requirements for Riding

*  Students must be 8 to 14 years old.
* Waiver/ release form signed by parent or guardian.
* A reasonable level of physical fitness is required for Horse Camps.
* For the health and comfort of our horses and the safety of the riders the weight limit is 160lbs.
* Riding Attire: Long pants, long socks, and hard soled shoes/boots with a low heel.
  No tennis shoes allowed.
* A riding hat is required. Riding hats may be borrowed from Valley Riding, Inc.,
  and returned after each class.
* Gloves are recommended.

This program is two hours long. One hour is spent in the arena in a beginning riding lesson. A second hour is spent touring the barn and learning basic horse care. Children must be at least 8 years old and under 160 lbs. Limit of 12 children at Rocky River Stables. There is a minimum of at least 8 students. Riding helmets are required and will be provided.
