Our
English riding lessons are based on a balanced seat position leaning
more towards dressage. Safety and control are important aspects of the
riding programs. Basic jumping skills are taught to the more advanced
students but not our main focus.

Requirements for Riding
* Waiver/ release form signed by parent or guardian.
* A reasonable level of physical fitness is required for English riding lessons. * For the health and comfort of our horses and the safety of our riders the weight limit is 160lbs. * Riding Attire: Long pants, long socks, and hard soled shoes/boots with a low level heel. No tennis shoes allowed. * A riding hat is required. Riding hats may be borrowed from Valley Riding, Inc., and returned after each class. * Gloves are recommended.

Beginner English Horsemanship
This program is available for adults and children and is the best
place to start to get comfortable with horses. Classes are 90 minutes
long. Children must be at least 8 years old. Each session includes
general care, safety, grooming, tacking, as well as, riding. The weight
limit is 160 lbs. Cost: $190.00 for 5 consecutive weeks. No make up classes are offered. No refunds without a doctor's excuse.

Beginner I Classes
Classes are for students new to riding, or have taken our Pony Camp,
Horse Camp or Beginner English Horsemanship. Maximum class size: six
students. Lessons are 45 minutes long. Children must be 8 years old to
start. Adults and children must weigh less than 160lbs. Cost: $280.00 for 10 consecutive weeks There will only be one make-up lesson given at the end of each session. No refunds without a doctor's excuse.

Non-Beginner Riding Instruction
Currently enrolled students should turn in a waiver/release form by the tenth lesson to reserve a slot in the next session.
For all other students who have had English riding instruction at another facility or are NOT currently enrolled in a class should consult with an instructor for appropriate placement.
Cost: $280.00 for 10 consecutive weeks
Each lesson is 45 minutes long. There will be only one make-up lesson
given at the end of each session. No refunds without a doctor's excuse. Private & semi-private lessons are available on a limited basis. Weight limit is 160 lbs.

Waiver/Release Form | All classes have a limit to the number or participants who can safely participate. You are encouraged to register early. We accept cash, checks and credit cards (credit card payments must be made at Rocky River Stables). Refunds
will be made if a class is filled, cancelled or with a doctor's excuse. Attendance at class is the participant's responsibility.
Refunds will NOT be made because of non-attendance. Registrations
are processed on a first come first served basis. You will NOT
receive a confirmation. Assume you are registered unless notified
differently by the office. Valley Riding, Inc. reserves the right to
reschedule or cancel classes should they not fill. Any class may be
cancelled because of insufficient enrollment.
