Affiliate of Cleveland Metroparks

Valley Riding, Inc. which manages Rocky River Stables and Brecksville Stables is a nonprofit affiliate of Cleveland Metroparks. Both stables are located in the park system and are directly connected to bridle trails along the Emerald Necklace. The Park District was established in July of 1917. Cleveland Metroparks consists of nearly 20,000 acres in 14 reservations. The Cleveland Metroparks is often called the "Emerald Necklace" because reservation circle the city of Cleveland. The park includes Cuyahoga County, Hinckley Township in Medina, and land in Lake, Lorain, and Summit Counties.

Donations/Wish list

The Rocky River stables is in need of a new or like new refrigerator, freezer. We need this for storage for meds and leg wraps etc. for the horses. Please contact us if you can help.

Valley Riding also needs "School Horse" candidates.  These must be calm, sensible, and serviceably sound.  They must also be able to walk, trot and canter.  For all horse releated donations (HORSES, tack, and equipment, etc.) please call Rocky River Stables (216) 267-2525.
